WA Parliament Members Visit Frontline’s Malaga Workshop

Frontline Fire & Rescue Equipment welcomed Hon. Reece Whitby MLA, Minister for Police and Emergency Services, and fellow Members of the WA Parliament to our Malaga workshop on 8 October 2026.

The visit offered a closer look at the people, skills and manufacturing processes behind our fire and emergency response vehicles, from engineering and body fabrication through to electrical wiring, painting, vehicle fit-out and commissioning.

During a guided workshop tour, our guests met members of the Frontline team and saw vehicles at different stages of production. It was an opportunity to share the detailed work involved in building specialised vehicles for the operational needs of emergency responders.

The visit also included a hands-on demonstration of an appliance’s capabilities. Our guests operated the bumper monitor and water deluge system, deployed the fire curtains and activated the lights and sirens, seeing some of these systems in action.

Since 2007, Frontline has been designing and building fire and emergency response vehicles in Western Australia. Our work supports local jobs and develops skills across engineering, fabrication and vehicle fit-out, contributing to the state’s manufacturing capability while equipping the people who respond to emergencies.

We thank Hon. Reece Whitby MLA, Michelle Maynard MLA, Hugh Jones MLA, Ron Sao MLA, Mark Folkard MLA, Yaz Maubaraki MLA, Hon. Parwinder Kaur MLC and Hon. Klasey Hirst MLC for taking the time to visit, meet our team and learn more about our work.
