Health and Safety Policy
Frontline Fire & Rescue Equipment (FFRE) — based in Perth, Western Australia, and specialising in the design, fabrication and supply of new, and the refurbishment of used fire, rescue and emergency vehicle bodies; the supply and service of fire, rescue and emergency equipment - believes that the workplace can be injury free for all workers.
We are committed to working with our employees, contractors, suppliers and clients to ensure that all our business decisions support our aim of sustaining a positive culture within our workplace that proactively identifies and eliminates or reduces health and safety risks in accordance with ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management System.
To fulfil this commitment, FFRE is committed to so far as practicable:
- Providing and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment to prevent work-related injury and ill health
- Eliminating hazards and reducing occupational health & safety risks
- Ensuring that we comply with client and relevant legislation pertaining to the jurisdiction we are operating at the time, along with the applicable Codes of Practice and Australian Standards
- Consulting and co-operating with workers in all appropriate matters relating to health and safety
- Continually improving our performance through effective safety management
- Setting realistic objectives and targets and supporting the strategies in achieving them
Management will provide and maintain:
- A culture that puts health and safety first through guidance, participation, training and development
- Set and monitor measurable objectives and targets to continually improve our processes and systems
- Communicate safety on all platforms between employees, sub-contractors and clients
- Continually improve our processes and systems via reviews with input from the workforce
- Comply with all legislation, codes and community obligations
- Proactively participate in programs to enhance Health and Safety sustainability
- Provide visible leadership, adequate resources, and ensure workplace standards are implemented, understood and maintained
FFRE employees and contractors are made aware of their Duty-of-Care responsibilities through training and day-to-day activities and are aware that their safety is FFRE’s priority.
